Functions: Organize and lead passengers in recreational activities – ping-pong, volleyball tournaments, shuffle board and golf games, etc.
You should be an outgoing personality and recreation, resort, or fitness background.
Dive Instructor
Probable salary: US$ 1,700 – 2,400 per month.
Functions: Lead passengers on diving excursions at ports-of-call and provide introductory dive instruction in cruise ship pool.
Requirements and Experience: Certified NAUI, SSI or PADI Dive Instructor with experience; CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
Children’s Activities Coordinator
Probable salary: US$ 1,800 – 2,400 per month.
Functions: Supervise children in youth center, according to the ship’s weekly program of youth activities. You also may escort children on tours ashore and baby-sit at night.
Experience and Requirements: Some experience in a childcare facility, or supervising youth activities as an instructor or counselor.
Photographer
Probable salary: US$ 1,800 - 2,400 per month.
Functions: Takes pictures of passengers during embarkation, events, dinners, and on tours. Also develops and sells the pictures to passengers, commissions are earned on sales. The company provides all necessary equipment.
Experience and Requirements: Knowledge of photo development process and experience is a real plus.Sound & Light Technician
Probable salary: US$ 2,000 – 2,500 per month.
Functions: Provide the sound effects and lighting for each night’s shows; maintain the sound and light equipment.
Experience: Knowing sound and light boards and equipment in a theatrical production. TV Station Manager
Probable salary: US$ 2,500 – 3,500 per month.
Functions: Coordinates onboard video and satellite programming.
Experience and Requirements: Background in industrial grade television production and electronics.
