Now she sails a series of Bermuda cruises from Cape Liberty, New Jersey in the summer and fall before repositioning to South America and Antarctica for the winter.

8. Costa Serena (Costa Cruises)
With 112,000 GRT, 3000 passenger Costa Serena is the second ship in the "Concordia class" after being christened in May 2007. The largest Costa cruise ships are the Costa Serena and Costa Concordia. This ship sails the Mediterranean.

9. Norwegian Gem (NCL)
Another NCL ship in the "Jewel class" is the Norwegian Gem. She carries 2,380 passengers and features the numerous restaurants necessary for NCL's "freestyle cruising". The ship also has a bowling alley and the other amenities found on her sister ships.

This ship joined the NCL fleet in October 2007 in the Mediterranean and she cruises there before moving to New York in early December. The Gem sails to the Caribbean from New York on cruises of varying lengths and itineraries.

10. Queen Victoria (Cunard Line)
The 2000 passenger Queen Victoria is the last new ship. The Queen Victoria was christened in Southampton, UK on December 11, 2007. The Queen Victoria is similar to the Holland America Line "Vista-class" vessels. Cunard Line plans some special touches to the Victoria, including private viewing boxes in the Royal Court Theater, alfresco dining for Grill guests, a floating museum display of Cunard memorabilia (Cunardia), and a two-story library with nearly 6,000 books.

The ship can transit the Panama Canal, and she embarked on her first world cruise in January 2008.
